The triggering intentions.
The "triggering" intentions are made before a seeker really gets going - shows up as a seeker. These often take the form "I want to be whole" or "I want to experience the Ultimate" but the common thing is that a desire to experience the Truth, the Divine or one's full potential is expressed. Intentions are the motive force of our living, and these intentions can be remarkably powerful. I recently had a humorous evening with a couple of seekers sharing our memories of our intentions. The joke is that when one makes an intention like, for example: "I want to live honestly", life gets behind one, and pushes. The consequences are that one goes through whatever's necessary to attain the intended state, so someone making this intention starts to see their lies and deceptions clearly. Life/God/Existence suddenly stops supporting one's lies! To put it very mildly, this is uncomfortable. Uncomfortable, but funny. Seekers really need a sense of humour. So, if you aren't a seeker, and like your life as it is, be seriously careful what you intend – otherwise things will get rough. You could end up like Cipher in The Matrix bemoaning his fate, saying "Why oh why did I take the RED pill" and "What I've come to realise is: ignorance is bliss." Watch out! |
